MOCK INTERVIEWS

For PSGCNJ Members

Once you have completed all 5 workshops in the 2 1/2 day Accelerated Career Training Program, you are eligible to register for the Mock Interview.

Typically, Mock Interview sessions are held on selected Monday afternoons.

Mock Inteviews are usually conducted in the "panel" format, with a team of two interviewers who will provide feedback to the candidate at the conclusion of the session.

REQUIREMENTS: Completion of the ACT Training Workshops; submission of both a current resume and a specific job description at a real company via e-mail to the PSGCNJ Training Committee Mock Interview Team, one week prior to the Mock Interview session.

Mock Interview sessions are held at the PSGCNJ meeting facility or an easy-to-get-to location nearby

To register you must send the required materials to the following e-mail address BEFORE we can schedule you for a Mock Interview session:

  1. Your current resume, (we suggest that the information & feedback from the ACT Resumes and Cover Letters workshop and possibly an Advanced Resume Review session be applied to your resume).
  2. A detailed job description for a particular job opening at a real company. This can be the text from a newspaper ad or an online job posting. We will use this information to assist us in playing the role of that potential employer.
